Nicholas Andre Dance was formed in 2003 by Nick Ross, a graduate of SUNY-Purchase. Mr. Ross’ choreography is unique as it is a blend of several different modern dance styles from his work as a dancer with different companies. Mr. Ross was an athlete before becoming a dancer, and he brings this passion for athleticism to his work.

“Nick Ross is one of those choreographers who are fully immersed in dance… a creator who is happiest when swimming pleasurably through the waters of dance, cuffing ideas and styles as he goes, rather than rushing into a studio with a burning theme for a new work…In the Garden of Souls, suggested an individual behind the work”, wrote Jennifer Dunning of the New York Times.

At Nicholas Andre Dance, we do everything possible to make touring accessible to almost any venue. By limiting our company’s size to 8 dancers, we are able to keep the touring cost affordable yet still offer a dynamic and exciting show.

Nicholas Andre Dance is dedicated to bringing dance to the widest audience possible along with reaching out to as many students as they can. That is why the company will always look to teach workshops, master classes and lecture/demonstrations everywhere we travel. Community outreach is a big part of our agenda. Nicholas Andre Dance’s priorities are to be cost effective, flexible and prompt.
